“Spiritual Regression” refers to several techniques used by the hypnotist to help you access the important ideas that lead to self-development, self-discovery, and ultimately, to an ability to overcome the issues and problems that might be holding you back. Spiritual Regression includes Past Life Spiritual Regression, Life Between Lives Spiritual Regression , and In-Utero or Womb Regression. These techniques happen to be some of the most powerful and insightful available in helping a client understand both themselves and their life purpose.

There are many paths to self-discovery and one approach is to access soul memory through Past Life Regression Therapy. This is a dynamic and highly personalized process guided by the Higher Self of the individual and facilitated by the NYC Past Life Regression therapist. Past life journeys are powerful experiences that deepen your understanding of your life purpose and soul lessons. People may explore a past life to help them gain an understanding of some of the issues that they are being faced with in this life. Often times, there is a connection, or a pattern of behavior, that has its roots in another time and in another place.

Experiencing a Past Life that has some connection to the life that is currently being lived, provides an understanding that can be powerful and transforming. You may find yourself with a choice of bringing back into the present, valuable lessons and skills learned in that past life. And, perhaps just as valuable, giving yourself the opportunity to release promises or agreements made in another time that no longer serve you. It is these unique insights about your life purpose that are unmatched by any other experience.

Self-Esteem Hypnosis boosts your True Self, and it is about re-framing your old beliefs about yourself, plus empowerment. Being empowered requires confidence, initiative, and a strong sense of self. These attributes are presumed to be among the building blocks of success in all aspects of life. But what if you lack these attributes? What is the solution? Hypnotherapy may be the answer you need.

You are not alone if you find yourself battling feelings of inadequacy. Many people have a poor self image. They feel devalued, as if they are less than the next person, as if they are unwelcomed or unappreciated. Consequently, they go through life pretending they feel good about themselves, when inside, nothing could be further from the truth.

At New York hypnotherapy we offer Self‑Esteem Hypnosis and self‑confidence hypnosis. Improving self-esteem provides relief from social awkwardness and assists with overcoming a myriad of problems, including:

anxieties

compulsions

obsessions

phobias

A good way to understand the concept of building self‑confidence with hypnosis is to think of it in terms of basic computer usage. It is like the “find and replace” function we use so often in our favorite word processing application. It finds the old, negative memories in the subconscious and replaces them with new, positive feelings. Our subconscious retains every memory. Oftentimes, bad memories were recorded during our younger years, when we lacked the maturity to properly understand and process unpleasant situations or occurrences. Self‑confidence hypnosis (Self‑Esteem Hypnosis) replaces the resulting bad feelings with good ones we have now as a result of possessing the maturity required for understanding or re‑evaluating the past.

Consider self‑esteem hypnotherapy (self‑confidence hypnosis) if you suffer from a sever lack of self worth. A certified hypnotist can enable you to enjoy the benefits of hypnosis, which include:

increased self-confidence

strength to endure difficulties

improvement with relationships

With self‑confidence hypnosis, the wait is over. You can be empowered today.

Do you have any negative memories of events that lead you to believe that you are not worthy?

Here is a true story about how memory retrieval hypnotherapy comes to the rescue of a person in a distress.

A woman who had planned an overseas trip, suddenly could not find her passport, and had absolutely no conscious recollection of where she had placed it.

The only apparent memory at this time was that she did have the passport in hand approximately a year ago. She went to see a memory retrieval hypnotherapist to get help with this worrisome situation.

Partial details, like being in an airport and about to return home, were things that she could recall as she entered the therapy room. And this was a good start. The hypnotherapist was able to assist her with memory retrieval, helping track all the times since she saw her passport at last, in the airport, on her earlier trip back home.

She was able to remember that when she had moved from one apartment, to a different place of residence, after her last trip, she had placed the passport into a small box at her new home. These smaller details were not present in her normally conscious state. Yet, they did become clear by way of the memory retrieval hypnotherapy session.

She then remembered planning a summer vacation trip with her close friend. But her friend canceled all plans to accompany her on the trip, at the very last minute, just as she was preparing her papers for travel agency. The cancellation of the trip was a distress; it was a betrayal. The vacation that was planned long ahead got ruined, as well as the joy of the summer was. Apparently, it became clear to the lady that she was subconsciously trying to erase the emotional trauma she had experienced.

However, with the aid of memory retrieval hypnosis, the woman was able to make a phone call to the pharmacy where she remembered going to about three months ago. And fortunately for her, the pharmacy store had held onto the passport, and returned it to her after.

It was such a relief — and memory retrieval hypnotherapy was a viable part of this woman’s rewarding outcome.

My path with weight loss hypnosis NYC is a first story written by one of our wonderful clients.

Food prison. How did I let this happen, again!?

I am desperately trying to figure out what caused me to gain 60 pounds over a course of 6 years. The truth is I did not think 10 pounds a year was so much until time kept passing by. Nor did I plan on doing this every year. I know how I gained the weight, trust me I do, I just cannot get over myself sometimes.

I was the happiest thin person you’ve ever met. I grew up with a weight problem in the 60′s when there were very few heavy people. I remember those trips to Lane Bryant well, going downtown Brooklyn when I was only 12 years old. This continued until I was 21, so going to the mall with friends in high school was out of the question.

It stays with you it truly does. The ironic part is that when most people lose the weight they still see themselves as heavy. I have the opposite problem, I went from thin to obese and can only see part of it. I see about half of it and I wonder how many trick mirrors can one have in the same house?

I am torn between wanting to look the way I did before I gained weight and now having to do so much work just to get back there. It is very hard to go from eating all you want whenever you want and having to stop all at once, it feels like I am in food prison.

It is hard to accept that it took a long time for me to gain the weight and that I am not going to lose it overnight.

I feel that no matter how much I weigh, I own that number, even if I lose 2 pounds, it is ok to regain them since that is my new number. I do not understand why I view weight loss as temporary and why can’t I go on and add more to the 2 pounds, instead of feeling like it is ok to eat up to that number on the scale.

I feel like my prize after losing a few pounds is getting to eat all the foods I just denied myself from eating.

When people say this has to be a way of life, it feels like a life sentence to me. For a smart person I must say I can be quite stupid at times, it amazes me that I cannot get over people who are thin watch their weight and exercise. It truly astonishes me that there is an answer to my problem that I choose not to use. It is like there is a cure out there for my obesity that I have chosen not to take.

I hate myself because of this, I hate that food has become much more than nourishment. I feel like it is all I think about and I have given myself the freedom to eat whatever I want in whichever portions I desire.

I kept my weight off for over 25 years, the fact that it has returned feels like cancer has returned. I fail to take responsibility for this and have seen several doctors to try and justify this only to find out all my test results are fine.

I even considered weight loss surgery but the thought of never being able to overeat again cripples me.

I really do not get it, I know I have had a lot of crisis in my life and whenever I seek help I always tell the therapist that I could check all the boxes. I always justify my obesity, and most recently I quit smoking so you know that is good for a few.

I remember that up until age 25 I was a different size every season, how I dreaded whenever the weather changed. When I finally met my weight loss goal and was able to take out the clothes from last year and wear them I remember thinking “wow, is this what thin people do” or better yet, people who have successfully maintained their weight loss. All they do is take out the clothes and wear them, they are not frightened that they will not fit.

That was honestly the best part for me hands down. Food has taken on so many jobs in my life that it is hard to start laying them off.

I started my weight loss hypnosis journey last week by seeing a New York Hypnotist, Lin Shlonsky from New York Hypnotherapy and she helped me realize something I never thought for a reason of my overweight. I believe that I am on the right path, I know that my obesity was keeping me from getting hurt and now I feel like overeating is no longer serving it’s purpose. I am ready for a big change.

Some smokers are wondering about how to want to quit smoking. You really enjoy it, it has become a part of you. The cigarette is waiting for you next to your morning cup of coffee. You can smoke as many cigarettes as you want, anytime you desire. Your cigarettes are always there for you, you can always count on them. ” I am not alone, I have my cigarettes.”

Some people see themselves as the smokers that are going to get away with it. They expect to be in the percentage of the population that can smoke for the rest of their very long lives with no adverse affects on their health. They still have the hope that a a “Good for you” cigarette will be invented, so they can just switch brands.

Do we consider ourselves to be immortal sometimes? How about when we drive and talk on the phone, or text and drive, does that only cause other people to get into car accidents?

The real answer is simple:

WE DO NOT EXPECT TO GET CAUGHT. We are too smart for that.

“Not me, everyone else is at risk to get cancer from smoking.”

Many people who are seeking help to quit smoking with hypnosis have tried other ways unsuccessfully. They really do not want to quit smoking. Are you here because you have to? Most people hate to HAVE to do anything, most of our actions are based on WANT.

So, how to want to Quit Smoking? Well, if you have to, it means to me that Smoking is NO longer SAFE for you. Hypnosis is the way to get this message through to your subconscious mind. When your subconscious realizes that smoking is not serving it’s purpose anymore, your defensive mechanism will naturally help you WANT to change this harmful behaviour.

Would you like to let go of unprocessed emotions?

“Hypnotherapy, meditation, and emotional freedom technique (EFT), with the careful guidance of a skilled practitioner, can release negative memories, heal old wounds, and give new direction to the natural flow of energy, allowing your life to be infused with more happiness and self confidence
than you ever believed possible.”

According to modern psychology, obstacles to physical and emotional well being (known as “blocks”) can begin forming in early childhood. As children we are very sensitive to the environment, and our subconscious remains quite raw throughout our teenage years. Traumatic experiences that occur during childhood and adolescence are often not fully and properly processed. Unprocessed emotions come to reside in deeper levels of our subconscious mind as part of a defense mechanism that protects our day-to-day life from disturbance.

This defense can be effective for quite a while, but what actually happens is that the unprocessed negative emotional memories create stress that bubbles below the surface. Emotions are stored in our bodies, so this compounds the problem. The next time you are experiencing anger, sadness, or any other negative emotion, close your eyes and focus. You will be able to identify parts of your body where you experience the physical manifestation of that emotion.

Unprocessed negative memories are behind the development of so-called “buttons”, which other people, even strangers, can “push” at any time. The person who “pushes your buttons” (in other words, triggers a negative reaction) might use words that sound familiar or look at you in a way that recalls your past negative experience and suppressed emotions. Even something as simple as a particular tone of voice can bring up the uncomfortable emotions associated with the traumatic memories that you have not yet been able to fully process. This pattern becomes a familiar one, one that repeats itself until you can break the cycle by taking a key step in self development. This step involves addressing the unprocessed emotions and memories and developing healthier coping strategies.

Hypnotherapy, meditation, and emotional freedom technique (EFT), with the careful guidance of a skilled practitioner, can release negative memories, heal old wounds, and give new direction to the natural flow of energy, allowing your life to be infused with more happiness and self confidence than you ever believed possible.

The more unresolved inner conflicts or bad memories you have, the more energy you spend on suppressing them from your conscious mind. Think of the energy required to hold a heavy bag in your hand for a long time. When you are unable to be relieved of the weight, your valuable energy is consumed by the constant effort exerted by your hand muscles. This principle applies to emotional and mental burdens as well. The constant effort required to suppress conflicts and traumatic memories robs you of energy that you could otherwise use to take big steps forward in your life.

When emotions remain trapped inside, you have only one choice: to lose control over your reactions. But when you become emotionally free, you are free to choose your reactions to different circumstances and people.

How you can discover the real issue behind your struggles

One of the most difficult things to understand, for many people, is the relationship between our subconscious and our conscious everyday difficulties. The reason for this has to do with the fact that it’s far easier for our conscious mind to observe and attempt to deal with an issue that is sitting right in front of our eyes. For example, if a person is overweight, all that the individual needs to do is to look in a mirror or find out that they need to buy new, larger size clothing. The conscious mind, at that point, attempts to deal with the problem in what it perceives to be a “logical” approach. If you eat too much, or if you eat high caloric food, you’ll gain unwanted pounds, right? So it stands to reason that one should cut down on their eating and the problem will be solved. There are a lot of popular books that propose different types of weight-loss diets and those books guarantee fast results. So, a diet book is purchased and the recommended dieting steps are followed and, sure enough, the extra pounds “magically” disappear and the individual is happy. Problem solved – or so it initially seems.

Then something unfortunate occurs. In the not too distant future, those extra pounds start coming back. Even worse, they seem to have brought along a few extra “friends”. The weight problem has become worse than ever. Why? The answer is amazingly simple. That person was simply addressing the wrong issue. The problem wasn’t the food intake, itself, at all. The problem was the motivation for the overeating to begin with! Unless the root cause for this issue is discovered and dealt with, the problem will continue to exist and even exacerbate over time or with any attempts to cut down on caloric intake.

This is why hypnotherapy is so beneficial when it comes to addressing negative situations with long term results. For example, if being overweight stems from feelings of guilt over a past event, then this event must first be uncovered. At that point, the conscious mind is helping the subconscious to understand that those feelings of guilt are not only unnecessary, but are currently promoting an unhealthy and distressing situation. When this is accomplished, a healthier diet and an exercise program are easily incorporated into the daily routine.

You may wish to leave a comment and tell us about a time when you (or a loved one) exhibited a problem that was eventually seen to be related to a past event.

Usually, we are so caught up in our daily routine that we lose sight of the big picture. Meditation will give you the opportunity to look at your life from a different perspective, and sometimes this new perspective will be truly eye opening.

Many wise traditions tell us when making important decisions, we should keep in mind our whole life and imminent death. The following meditation exercise technique provides an opportunity to try that perception.

If you would like to try this meditation audio, please find a quiet, comfortable place where you can relax. Sitting there comfortably, relax and follow the instructions below.

The Meditation Exercise Technique is now recorded! Please click on the arrow below to begin the meditation exercise.

To begin, breathe slowly and deeply for several minutes. Allow yourself to be more and more relaxed with every breath. Pay attention to an interesting feature – the exhalation does not require any effort. You breathe in, and then just give things take their course. In this case the air goes out by itself, and the muscles of the chest and shoulders automatically relax.

Let this feeling of relaxation to become deeper and deeper with every breath out and feel relaxation spreading throughout your whole body. Let it flow all the way down to the neck, to your hands, and down through the abdomen to the legs. If you notice any areas of muscular tension, just relax them with the breath. Throughout the meditation exercise keep breathing slowly and deeply and effortlessly both at a time. This ability to relax is a very valuable skill for coping with any tension and it will deepen with the practice of meditation and relaxation.

Now, think about long time ago, say, the period spanning many years. After that, think about a longer time, then an even more prolonged period. When you are ready, double the period under review, and then double it again. And then imagine the eternity.

With this all-encompassing, eternal perspective look back at your life and think about the following questions. Just remember, you do not need to analyze or try to figure out the answers. Instead, just let them float in your mind under the influence of your intuitive wisdom.

What in your life really matters?

What really matters to you?

What people play important roles in your life?

This decision you have to make, how does it affect the lives of others?

Do you have better options?

How will your life look like after the change?

Did this reveal some vital information about yourself and your life?

When you are finished, open your eyes and return your attention to your environment. As a part of the meditation exercise technique, it is very useful to write down your understandings and spend a few minutes of deliberation.

From the standpoint of eternity, a lot of things in our lives seem to be very small. Although at first this finding may be rather difficult, it can also be extremely liberating. It may allow us to stop wasting time on trivial matters, for worthless assets, and focus on what really matters.

Please feel free to let us know if this meditation exercise technique was useful for you! You can also write your thoughts about it here in the comments area.
